Missouri Shooting Victims in the Dark About Rights. Find out more now!

Price & Randle

If a guns goes off accidentally or on purpose, extensive damages and/or death often result.  The victim and their family are often so shocked and horrified, that they fail to act to preserve and pursue the potential civil claims.

In an incident that may have criminal prosecution results, victims often consider the local prosecutor as their attorney.  This is absolutely not true.  While the prosecutor is in charge of pursuing any potential prosecution, the prosecutor does not and has no obligation to pursue any money damages on behalf of shooting vicitms.

We speak to people frequently regarding the shooting death of a loved one.  Many are completely unaware of their civil rights to pursue the shooter for money damages.  Sometimes the claim can be covered by various insurance policies of the shooter or others.  In addition, other parties may share the fault depending on the circumstances.

It is important to get some solid advice on your rights if you were the victim of a shooting incident as soon as possible. For more information, see my article regarding shooting claims /library/missouri-shooting-deaths-leave-families-with-complex-questions
