The Joplin Globe reports that a Nevada man died of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident at 4:16 p.m. Monday on Missouri Highway 43 at Route N in Bronaugh, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Thomas E. Smith, 44, was pronounced dead at 5:08 p.m. at Nevada Regional Medical Center, the state patrol said. The other driver in the accident, Tyler J. Bohannon, 19, of Adrian, was treated for minor injuries at Nevada Regional Medical Center, the patrol said.
Smith was driving an eastbound Ford Explorer and pulled into the path of Bohannon’s southbound pickup truck the patrol said.
• A Lamar woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8 p.m. Monday on Route J, a mile north of Oakton in Barton County, the state patrol said.
Ardith E. Watson, 70, was taken to Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, the patrol said.
Watson was driving a southbound car that ran off the road and struck a utility pole, the patrol said.
• Both drivers suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 6:50 p.m. Monday on U.S. Highway 60, 10 miles east of Granby in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Dustin J. Graves Saucedo, 24, of Monett, was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, while Taylor R. Bittick, 17, of Pierce City, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
