At approximately 6:47 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, a serious Franklin County motorcycle crash reportedly occurred on Highway 100 near Villa Ridge.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier were involved in the crash. Bruce R. Housier, 57, of Labadie, reportedly drove the motorcycle, and 38-year-old Alexsandra Heigl, of Pacific, reportedly drove the car.
Reports indicate that Ms. Heigl was attempting to make a left-hand turn from eastbound Highway 100, near Highway M, and failed to yield to Mr. Housier’s motorcycle, which was traveling westbound on Highway 100. The two vehicles collided, and Mr. Housier was allegedly thrown from his bike because of the impact.
A Meramec Ambulance took Mr. Housier to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with what were reported as serious injuries. His prognosis was not immediately released to the media. Ms. Heigl was not reported to be injured in this Franklin County motorcycle crash.
